MCHS utilizes Minga for a variety of purposes including:

You can view the Minga Family guide HERE for more information. Minga is automated to send emails to parents when students are assigned tardies. A weekly summary is emailed each Saturday morning to parents that includes information on student activity in Minga.

GSP Applications are moving online this year! We have received new information that applications will open at the beginning of September and will be online. We have signed up to attend their virtual training session to learn more about the new platform and how students will apply. 

Once we have the updated information, we will communicate that out to students and parents! We will also have an informational session for students interested in applying. GSP is for current Juniors going into Senior year. 

The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is a digital assessment designed for students in 10th and 11th grades. It measures skills in Reading and Writing and Math and is closely aligned with the SAT.

We encourage 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in college, want additional SAT preparation, or simply want more information about their academic strengths and areas for growth to consider taking the PSAT.

For sophomores, the PSAT is a great opportunity to become familiar with the assessment and establish a baseline before taking it again as a junior. For juniors, the PSAT provides SAT preparation and the opportunity for eligible students to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program. The PSAT can be used as a qualifying score for GSP applications.

🏛️ Civics Readiness - Ensuring students understand the responsibilities and foundations of engaged citizenship through completion of Kentucky's required civics assessment.

Throughout the year, we'll share information, resources, important milestones, and opportunities to help families understand where their student is on the MCHS Ready journey.

This year, we are focused on creating The MCHS Effect, the collective impact of the experiences, relationships, opportunities, and expectations that make Montgomery County High School special.
